In The GS Pay Scale, How Many Pay Grades Are There?
Each of the General Schedule’s 15 distinct pay levels is explained below. Depending on the credentials necessary and the level of responsibility and nature of the job the post is classified by the federal agency. These are the most common qualifications for the grades:
